Dream job turned nightmare for FA's

So your on reserve and you need a crashpad. Oh the horror. Did you do any research before accepting the job?

They watch too many 60s and 70s Pan Am documentaries and think Leo DiCaprio is going to escort them arm and arm through T5 to work the Mint flight to Heathrow.

Wouldn’t surprise me if that part of the movie is part of their recruitment video.

I don't know why you guys are $***ing on these FAs. They are being exploited by the same scummy management team we are, and are making it public. This is the sort of thing that can eventually lead to a replacement in the C suite, which is the only way we will see a change. Good for them.

How are they being exploited?

$1500/mo is borderline criminal. Especially in EWR if there aren’t any crashpads open.

Honest to God, JetBlue treats their FA’s worse than my previous regional. And that’s saying something

flyingmonkeys 07-23-2022 08:31 PM

It sucks that they are going through that but seriously did they not know what first year pay was? I survived off the same salary living in SoCal my first year at a regional. 500-600 paychecks. Yeah it sucks. Deal with it. Complaining doesn’t pay the bills.
