What are you wanting to know on base/fleets? IOE wait times are now under 2 weeks.

Started mid October. Finished 320 LOE first week of December. Got my OE schedule about a week after leaving the lodge. So about 3 weeks from LOE to OE. Seems like I’m seeing guys that were a few weeks behind me out doing OE now. So I’m guessing with the reduced holiday class schedules it’s about 2-3 weeks. From what I’ve heard from 190 classmates they were headed into OE in about a week.

Is IOE out of your base or can they send you anywhere? Switching aircraft and curious when I finish if it'll be out of my new base on the new aircraft or they could send me to my old base for IOE.

they can send you where ever they want but you are still technically based in your old base until you are done IOE. So your trips will at a minimum have to start and end with a dh from your current base.

Thank you for the information. That is what I was wondering was the cutover date of being in your old base vs new.

IOE wait time is now officially down to the contractual minimum of 4 days off. Wow how far we’ve come.

On all fleets?

avi8orco 01-30-2023 06:41 PM

When do they put it on your schedule? I’ve got my 320 transition LOE on wed. and nothing on my schedule, no emails, etc.

they won’t even think about you until the LOE is complete.

It’s kinda dumb.

chucknorris 01-31-2023 02:41 AM

I think some fleets wait until your 4 day contractual off is done before submitting your paperwork.

I dunno, makes sense to me. How can you know when to schedule the IOE if you don't know whether they will pass the check ride?

avi8orco 02-08-2023 10:42 AM

Well…update. As I said, LOE was Wed, the first. It’s now the 8th. Crickets are still chirping on my schedule.

Use the time wisely. Enjoy family and friends, think of ways to spend the 80 hours you’re making now, update legacy apps with new type information. The possibilities seem endless.

Love to hear it! Finished mine as well. I’ll update when I’m scheduled.

Don’t forget, per a grievance settlement, they have to give you Atleast 48 hours notice and it has to be a phone call. (Voice mail is acceptable)

I’m not sure of anyone recently that was notified via phone call. We just received emails/checked jet crew.

No phone call? No obligation to show up. Nor should you.

If you voluntarily look at either of those it counts.(and they can tell if you open company email or Jetcrew)

however per the grievance settlement, they are required to call you and Atleast leave a voicemail.

if you shut your iPad and don’t have company email on your phone you would never know and would be under no obligation to show.

I mean if the goal is to remain in training status and have to go back to the sim because you didn't consolidate, I guess that's a good plan. Most people just want to get their training done.

Scheduled at the 4 day contractual minimum.
Im surprised the other guy hasn’t been scheduled yet. Everyone from my class is getting scheduled right away.

When you did get scheduled how much time did you end up having from LOE to IOE roughly?
