Pairing survey

Im assuming it was a disaster because trips started and ended from a virtual base (OAK).
In this instance the virtual base pairings still originate/terminate in a real base with real reserve staffing to cover trips just like a JFK reserve covers a trip flown by a LAX pilot who calls FTG while on a layover in JFK 😂

I wish there was an option for commuters to list that they actually WANT to fly on reserve. I know many that don't get called as they sit in their crashpad and are upset about it, meanwhile I enjoy my time at home not getting those trips.
I liked the way my AA regional did it: A trip pops up and everyone in the bucket can say if they want it or not. Most senior pilot can say if they want the trip or not and it trickles down from there.

Yes for LCR pref bidding next day trips is nice. It would be great if there was a generic “fly first/fly last” list for day of operations that would apply to both LCR and SCR. As long as a “fly first” guy is legal then he gets the trip.

This is the “profit sharing task force” of scheduling. I did it but it won’t change anything.

I told them this when they were first negotiating the contract. they said, "well we have to do it one way or the other so we chose this way". I said they should have chosen the other way, and they should have us vote on it, but they didn't care.
