Not sure, but we’re showing 15 Spirit departures out of LGA tomorrow

I wonder if that includes the slots we "use" that are really AA's.

Back to why would we give up Spirit's slots if the NEA is dead, I guess simply to show that there will still be ULCC competition in NYC? Or maybe they have a handshake deal with AA to continue to lease the LGA slots after the NEA winds down?

I do believe those JB numbers include the slots being leased from AA.

Robin seemed eager to come out publicly saying we would give up the NK LGA slots and FLL gates long before there was this much drama around the merger, so I’m guessing he can’t backtrack on it now.

I also wouldn’t be surprised if there was some handshake deal with AA to use the slots again at some point post-NEA.

Maybe they are looking to settle before the trial in Oct

Out of interest, 391 Int’l pax for B6. A very odd yet small number. Was that a once a week Nassau that wasn’t selling well? or was this a handful of B6 purchased tickets to Canada, flown by Amer.Eagle brand allowable by scope relief of F.8.B. I’m really just curious. I’m assuming LGA would count as a focus city (NYC) no?

Im willing to bet that’s the once a week Nassau.

Yes, JFK/LGA are a co-terminal and considered part of the broader NYC focus city (they lump EWR into the NYC strategy as well, but it is a separate crew base for pilots)

thats the dream man thats the dream though somehow doubt it.

AA is appealing the decision as well. I guess they probably want their termination clause if JB has to give it uo to get er done. I will say that for a relatively small airline B6 does seem to be dipped into everything and everyone all at once.

Oh right on. Believe me I know all about the EWR base. Yes the NEA did provide some growth there initially and I do not believe any destinations gained/ lossed came from scope relief of F.8.A (focus city to focus city) or F8.B (Int’l destination within range of company aircraft) unless MIA is included as a FLL focus city.
