Jet Blue Application deleted my information

Good afternoon,

Maybe it's me. I spent 3 hours filling out the Jet Blue application and I hit save several times. When I uploaded my documents, it deleted all of my information. Three hours of work is gone. Did I do something wrong? Do I need to log out every 30 minutes and log back in? Did it time out? Any information is helpful. Thanks.

Just prepping you for the disappointment and frustration with employment at jetblue. Sometimes I wonder if it’s intentional.

We have the latest technology. So new it's not even debugged yet.

Welcome to JetBlue, where the user is also the Beta tester.

Don't get me wrong I can bag on the blue as much as the next guy, but let's not pretend our apps aren't any worse than anyone else's. Americans, United and Delta's all have their own unique ways of sucking ass.

In addition to what others have said, maybe it rejected your application because you don't know how to spell JetBlue?

that really sucks - sorry to hear it.

if you decide to try again, I’d suggest clearing your browser cache and starting over, or possibly using a separate browser/profile just for this. There are a lot of quirks with this stuff that often get solved that way.

Good luck!

Good advice and about browsers: the internal JetBlue web stuff works best on Safari, with Chrome running a close second. Try using one of those two and yes, do clear out your cache and (I will add) site setings before restarting. Good luck.

Yah, if they do that to your application, then don't apply there and go somewhere else.

HotSnakes 04-19-2024 11:58 AM

They did you a huge favor.

I'm sure his present job is better. GMAB

Maybe just take the win. There is nothing here that one of the bigger 3 or 4 doesn't offer. Domiciles, pay, and overall oppurtunities and security. Right now JB doesn't look to be on solid footing. The best and brightest don't aspire to run JB. Maybe some come here to learn, but then they leave. What we're left with isn't the best of the best. This is the best pilot market in the history of airlines. Now isn't the time to settle.

After 14 years here I’ve never felt like I settled. Things aren’t the best right now but they’ll turn around. When I got hired here it was the legacies that looked like a steaming pile.

If you want to spend your career flying A320s/A321s out of Boston, B6 could be tied with Delta to be your first choice destination airline.

For any other pilot, B6 isn't even in the running. They have nothing to offer except maybe a couple workrules that vary from airline to airline.

Route structures are shifting around, but BOS isn't the only one in the system. There's going to be some base shifts (rumor mill only, but consistent) that seem to align with how the company is regrouping, so things are likely to change. The supplemental bid for may and system bid in August will alter the landscape, but it's impossible to see just how.

Attrition here has been lower than forecast.

I'd agreet to a certain extent. Jetblue is better than any 135 or regional if you live in one of our bases and don't have to commute. That being said as retirements slow over the next 10-15 years you will certainly be better off at any of the three legacy carriers. JB has announced no real growth for atleast the next two years as we attempt to rebound from the NEO issues and the blunder that was the Spirit & JB merger. At the legacy carriers you have constant retirements for now, large fleet types, and more bases. All these factors only help your seniorty whether artificial or actual.

To each their own, I have enjoyed my time at b6. Great pilot group. Pay is great and my QOL has been pretty good compared to friends at DAL and AA. I had opportunities to interview at the big 3. I could care less about flying a WB 10 hours and doing redeye after redeye. Yea you could upgrade at the big 3 a little faster but I dont care about sitting at the bottom of captain list forever. QOL is more important to me

Is he applying for this hiring window or for the one 14 years ago.

I'm not so sure that I would characterize the attempted merger as a "blunder." It prevented Spirit and Frontier from merging, which would've been a huge hit to B6, especially in Florida and Latin America.

Who says they can't still merge in the future?

It also cost us half a billion dollars.

Maybe they can still merge, but it appears to have prevented it thus far. And yes, it was a costly move, but that doesn't mean that it wasn't the right move, or that it wasn't effective.

I don't see how any of those factors make JetBlue more attractive than the Big 3 for a pilot having to choose today.

Did you ever get this issue resolved? I'm trying to fill out my profile right now and I'm having the same problem.
