Default CSPP Going Away?

I have heard thru the grapevine that some mention of the CSPP going away? Supposedly this came from John Owen in a recent Pocket Session. Anyone care to share what they heard or know?

It is in the "New Pilot Contract". The company has the right to reduce CSPP to ZERO by contract!

The White Papers used CSPP as a prop to hold up "the house" but what management neglected to tell you is that there is verbage in the contract, in black and white, that allows them to take CSPP away.

This would be a great topic for the 3D's.

Time for a negotiated agreement? I think so.

Options and CSSP can be complicated and it has been my experience that people who attend pocket sessions often either misinterpret or confuse some of the facts.
Yesterday I had the pleasure of listening to David address the latest recurrent class. On the subject of CSSP he again mentioned what a powerful program it was to motivate and reward loyal crewmembers. He mentioned that he had spoken to the board of directors about why it was so important (CSSP) to the success of jetBlue. What I took away from that session was the feeling that it would never go away while David had a say.
He also mentioned some facts about stock options and how the vesting program was complicated and somehow was reported as a paper loss on the out years. He did mention that they were looking at ways to vest everyone immediatley instead of over the seven years the original contract stated. (thats what my pee brain picked up) He said he wasn't exactly clear in his own mind how it would work so I couldn't be any more specific about it. Maybe thats what people attending pocket sessions might have heard. I really make it a point to only believe as fact what I hear for myself in this buisness.

Yes, it would be a good topic. I was aware that the company could, at any time they pleased, abandon the CSPP. There was language to that effect in the original contract even before they had a CSPP. But what my question addressed was the recent rumors of the possibilities of it going bye bye. With the recent rulings regarding company ISO's I am sure that ESPP's will be effected as well. I don't know much about the rulings, and whether they are good or bad for JB, but I do know that we were issued an extension beyond July for the expensing of the stock options (not CSPP) and the company was relieved about that.

Anyway, was hoping some of the boys had some good poop on the CSPP rumors.

C yaaaa
