Default jetBlue called today...

Hi Guys,

this might not interest anybody but me, but jetBlue called today and invited me an for an interview on 01/12/06.
Just had to share it with someone, like the entire world.
I am totally hyped, after all there might be life after AMR.

Thumbs up

Congratulations Gman; that is awesome news! Woo-hoo! Most of the successful applicants I have heard from have used a prep course. Other than that, just be yourself.

Again, congratulation and I look froward to seeing you around T-6 sometime soon.

Respectfully,

JayDub

Default Prep Course

JayDub,
thank you for the kind words.
That brings up the question of where to go for the interview prep course?
Also, what is T6 - sorry I am new to the jB lingo.

Thanks again,

Gman

T6 is Terminal 6 at JFK, Jetblue's terminal (until T5 construction is complete). Can't help with the prep course. I got called six days before my interview. No tech questions, just "Tell me about a time..." questions. They want the situation, the action you took, and the results. Many are people questions, and flying questions should emphasize the team (CRM). You will be judged on Skill, Safety, Integrity, Caring, and FUN. Last one is important, so try to enjoy yourself. It is actually a pretty good experience. Good luck.

Gman,

I concur with MeWorry? It is a very simple format but it sometimes just takes a little practice. Whether you have your friend ask you a few questions in that format, or get a professional service, I think you'll find a little practice might help. Emerald Coast provides a money back guarantee if you don't go on to phase II. http://www.emeraldcoastinterviewconsulting.com/

Congrats Gman! I think you will totally enjoy the experience of coming to the interview. Even more so when you get selected :-) If you've never flown on jetBlue depending on where you live you'll get the chance to fly to JFK on us. If you don't live in or near a blue-city I believe they will purchase a ticket for you. Hardest part of the entire process is just waiting to hear!
Again congratulations and the info posted from the other blue pilots is spot-on.

I don't think they have. I know they plan on interviewing up to 200 folks during the two day process. I think they have just started making the calls and it will continue until they have enough people to fill the available slots.

GMan

Did you have a recommendation from someone at jetBlue? I'd love to work for JB but don't know anyone who works there. Any thoughts on how I can get my phone to ring??
