Looking at the tables if you upgrade in 1 year in the 190 youll be at $72. so if you just finished your 2 year equipment lock and decide to transfer over to the 320 for more $ in the long term, does that mean you go down to a 3 year FO at $61?

Does that happen alot at other companies?

My roomate works for Big Blue, you go laterally, you would not go from captain in one to FO in the other. Once your a captain you are a captain.

Longevity works the same way, the amount of years you are at the company not the time spent in a particular seat. This is the way it should work, there are some company's that will hose you on this one this but not many.

Unless, of course, the pilot intentionally bids F/O. FWIW, we have had 320 captains return to first officer for better schedules, and yes, they took a pay cut to do that.

But isnt the 320 upgrade time greater than 3 years? or is that 2 year aircraft lock really going to be greater than 2 years and they hold you to i until your number is eligible for a captain bid?

2 year aircraft seat-lock. After 2 years if bid a new position and you can hold it seniority wise, you get the new position. 190 CA can bid A320 FO.
