You'll never get a call from anyone operating a jet with 65 multi.

You need multi engine time. Quickest way to get that is a regional. Lucky for you, you live near JFK. Get applying.

I was hired too long ago for the info to be relevant but.. you don’t have enough.

With that being said, you meet the mins so you did the right thing by applying. Keep updating the app and meet the recruiters at events. In the meantime, there is no substitute for experience, which you don’t have enough of...yet. Go to a regional (about 1500 hours ago.)

I was at a bar in Orlando near FlightSafety. Struck up a conversation with a 23 year old going through Citation X training. He had 251 TT and 9 hrs multi. Nine. Corporate jet opportunities abound but 121, definitely more multi. But I’d take going Mach .92 with 9 hours multi!

Around 2008(??) regionals were picking up folks with next to nothing. One example was part 141 so had something along the lines of 190tt and 7ME. Essentially at minimums for a CMEL

I submitted my application when the current hiring window opened a few days ago. I exceed the minimum experience stated on JetBlue's web site (1500 total time, 500 hours fixed wing, ATP license, First class medical, per FAQ ? JetBlue Pilot Gateway Programs ) but I suspect my experience numbers might still be too low to get an interview invitation.

It would be helpful to hear what hours were sufficient for a few people who were recently hired as an FO. I am wondering if there might be an unstated requirement for part 121 time (I have none) or turbine time (I have 100 hours in a Cessna Caravan - not sure if that would be sufficient.)

If I haven't a chance of getting hired as an FO until I have a certain amount of experience, it would be great to know what that is.

In case it helps tailor your advice, here's my experience: I have my ATP, 3000 PIC (almost all in ASEL), 65 multi, 1000 dual given, and a bachelor degree. And I live about one hour's drive from JFK.

Thanks for your help!

P.S. I hope this isn't a duplicate request to info that has already been posted by recent hires in some other thread. If so, just direct me there.
CJO in 2017
TT: 3900
ME/Turbine: 3100
PIC Turbine: 500

121 & 135 experience

You deff need to go to the regionals for at least 1000 hours, Jetblue is hiring people without Turbine PIC time there were several Regional FO's in my class that had none, but you have to try to get Turbine ME time at either a 121 or 135. Good luck and keep applying.

Nice! When I got hired by ACA in 2000- my first regional gig - I had 1100 PIC multi engine turboprop. All but 10 hrs was single pilot and all but 10 hours was at night flying MU2s full of checks out of Detroit City Airport. Guys hired 1-2 years ahead of me paid for their own training. Many don’t recall or are too young to remember the days when pilots stroked a check for 15K to fly a 19 seat turboprop for 18K a year. Now get off my lawn!

Anyone know if the Turbine Time has to be Jet? Or does turboprop work?

The airbus at JB was my first jet. So yes, turboprop is fine.
