You can change your standing bid at any time. But once awarded it via a system or supplemental bid, the award is final. “If you are awarded a transfer, it is final, not optional.” You can always participate in a base trade though (monthly) and hope to get to your base of choice that way, or you will have to wait until the next bid. In your scenario, once you decide you want to stay in BOS, you just take the other preferences out before the next bid.
The base transfer option sounds great until you look at the list of people trying to trade. Lots of people trying to trade out of JFK and no one trying to trade in, which means limited amounts of actual trades. And, if I recall correctly, you can’t trade to FLL because of the “special training.” Is that correct?

I can pretty much guarantee you the year long bid will be a basic, bare bones bid, and we will still see supplemental bids very frequently.
They can’t plan their way out of 2” of snow in BOS. You think they will be able to accurately predict their yearly staffing needs in 1 shot?

These provisions do not apply if the entire Base is designated as Special Qualificationi”

So a guy awarded OOA 21 Jan will transfer on 1 March, and go to training sometime in February.

CBA: Standing Bids shall be maintained in FLiCA (or the equivalent). Standing Bids may be updated at any time and shall be used to award all System Bids

Hello guys!
I live in Los Angeles and I am stuck commuting across the continent for the sake of holding a line. I am thinking about applying to JetBlue but I need some info here.
How long does it take to hold LAX?
What are the chances of getting the 320 as a newhire?(I am typed and don’t feel like getting typed in the embraer if it’s going extinct pretty soon)
What do you Jetblue guys think about the future of the company (upgrade,growth,etc..)?
Last but not least. What are jetblue’s hiring plans for 2019 and when shall I get expect the window to open?
Your help is greatly appreciated

320 as a new hire? I wouldn't count on it 100%, but if you're senior in your class, possible. A lot of current 190 drivers hitting their seat lock want the raise so that may kill it for you depending on what they want for the particular class.
Future of the company? Got a coin to flip?
Hiring? They said 400 I think but numbers for everything are pretty inflated here...including on time performance and and speak up survey participation.

Look at Southwest, Delta and United.
Our LGB base isn’t preforming well and we have cut flights. Once we get displacement language in 2020, who knows what will happen.
