I know some classes are all E190 and some are mixed equip. Any idea/info on what the classes moving forward into June & beyond will consist of equipment wise? And how can one select a class if they only want the bus?

Would you delay a class for a bus slot and give up that seniority? Even knowing the 190 seniority moves way faster, you’d get a like much faster and you’d make more money as a lineholder 190 guy and could go to the bus at the 1 year mark?

I was told 3 things by a current line pilot whose friend (supposedly) screens the video interviews.
1. Not wearing a suit.
2. Talking too long (i.e. in most cases you don't need to use the whole allotted time).
3. Can't remember the last one he said, but I think it was your video answer not matching what was on your application (i.e. all the sudden you're disclosing a training failure that you hadn't previously disclosed).

2 and 3 make sense. It is basic interview etiquette. I’m not buying 1. I was in a polo shirt and just made sure all the kid and dog toys were clear of the camera frame. Who wears a suit at their house?

For what it’s worth, I was in a mixed class and the 190 went to the top guys and everyone else got the bus. Even the plug...You don’t know what others want to bid. Take the first class and be happy you are here. It’s only a year, if you don’t get it. Your QOL will be 100% better on the 190 as a newhire too

Every single pilot who is serious about getting hired, that's who.

Guess I wasn’t that serious and got hired anyway. Or I took a look at JB’s values (don’t shoot me) and figured maybe they don’t necessarily want to see someone in their living room in a suit.
I’ve seen the silliest statements from pilots about what to wear to an interview. (Don’t forget to wear your blue suit and red tie to your delta interview!)
