1 was the first one he mentioned - instant no before you even open your mouth. Maybe it depends on who is screening yours. Just telling you what I was told. The idea is that they want you treating this video like it's a real interview. Put your best foot forward.

In my F2F they said that they need to hire for both aircraft, but the class drops are largely dependent on simulator availability. A recent class was all A320 but that didn't mean they had no need on the 190...just didn't have room in the sim schedule.

Maybe they shouldn’t have sold the other 190 sim!?

Idiots.

Yes, not wearing a suit is a bad idea. Wear a suit (and tie) until you are asked not to. It’ll happen about 4 minutes after you are hired. Then you can go back to your PJ’s and Birkenstock’s you bunch of soy boys! :-)

You are being considered for a professional position. You should consider looking as professional as possible during every interaction.

Seems like that would be an easy thing to do... but I hear some interesting stories.

Also, just for kicks, and this goes for all apps. you may want to proofread your stuff. Having "become a united airlines pilot" on your jetblue, or delta app... may not go in your favor.

Is there a typical timeframe between app submission and phone call or is it all random?

So if jetBlue ask if there is anything in my driving record that can adversely affect my candidacy, and I have only a couple speeding tickets, do I say Yes to the question? Would speeding ticket be considered an adverse effect on my candidacy?

I wanna make sure I'm all honest and I don't withhold info by mistake or lack of understanding what would be considered adversely

I would definitely mention it. Get it out in the open, they will see it anyway.
