Thinking of applying
Hello,
I’m currently looking to switch over to 121. I have another ULCC job offer but the idea of going to Jet Blue and being done with the job hunt for my career sounds pretty nice. Ive been flying part 135 for the past 8 months, 250 turbine, 450 multi. I meet all unrestricted atp mins but no atp. What’s the chances of my application being picked up? I was thinking about paying for my own atp ctp course. Could I get hired with my current experience? The other company will pay for my atp ctp but if I have a real shot with jet blue, I’d pay for it myself.

Interview
So I interviewed in January and two days later received a No thank you, re apply in 90 days. Im at a P121 and not sure why I didn't get an offer, only thing I can think of is they dint like my TMAAT question on why JB. The HR girl seemed to have a chip on her shoulder, the CA and Chief Pilot were nice

Currently about to hit my one year at United and to say the grass is not always greener on the other side is an understatement. I have been having considerations of going to JetBlue as I do not care about wide body flying and would like to move to BOS (UA does not currently have a pilot BOS base). Seeking any input from the handful of pilots that I have heard about that have made the switch from a legacy to JB and your thoughts on wether it was worth it. I realize this will not be taken well from many as many are at JB to try and get to a legacy but it’s a personal choice for me when it comes to QOL and work culture. Any input would be appreciated especially those that have made this jump or turned down a legacy. TIA
No matter how you examine it, stepping down to B6, is that, a step downward. As of today, B6 has downgrades…. Delta cap within a year, and B6 is downgrading six yr pilots….. Let that sink in. B6ALPA is subpar, they shoot for mediocrity at best. NC even stated they would prefer to let other companies do the “heavy lifting”. The only people that should be coming here are the ones that are waiting on a call from somewhere else. Nothing will change until the union leadership is ousted.

Schedule flexibility alone has been excellent for me at B6. Fly when I want, drop and swaps trips with relative ease, and I rarely fly more than a leg a day on the Bus to overall nice layovers. Doesn't mean there aren't significant improvements we need in the JCBA, but I believe him when he says the grass isn't always greener.

I told them that I've always been impressed with the founder and how he has started all these airlines, I also said that they reminded me of a young SW, but way better and bigger goals. I should have not mentioned SW at all. Im sure nobody wants to be compared to another company. Lesson learned
