9300 TT, 1400 TPIC, 2900 jet, 3 types, age 44, 142 instructor, published aviation safety author, speaker at 17 NBAA events, etc.
No failures, No incidents, No violations, and No accidents.
Little recency of experience.
Interviewed Feb 25th, moved to phase II beginning of March, was told this afternoon they can't give me the go ahead because of the recency issue. Told me to go to a regional for six months and call them back. I turned down a regional class date when I advanced to phase two (shame on me for having the integrity to not start while knowing I was going to quit - never make that mistake again I guess) Anyway my bad. Heads up for you guys that are on the currency fence. Swimming in the pool for three months is no guarantee you're in. No news is NOT good news.

Jetblue will hire a 3000TT pilot from a Saab but not someone like you? Truly embarrassing.
On behalf of all of us who would love to fly with someone with your experience I truly apologize.

Std Dev, sorry to hear about that. I have about half your total hours but do have 1,000 Part 121 PIC, Mil Heavy time and Mil IP time and got a TBNT about two weeks ago without even an interview. At Vets in Blue I was told that so long as I wasn't flying a desk recency was not a issue, at least for mil pilots. Currently I am reservist and no longer flying Part 121.
I have been wondering why I didn't even get a call and finally realized that it must be because I only have a little over a hundred hours in the last year.
I was really hoping to get a call after Vets in Blue, guess theirs always next time.
