There are plenty of things to be impressed by. There are things that need improvement. To suggest that there's no silver lining is just stupid, and shows how bitter you've become.
This job is a good job. Is it Delta? Nope. But I don't want to be Delta.

We all have choices in life. No matter how we choose, there is always going to be someone who has the better job, bigger check, more toys, etc. So, you have a fork in the road eventually where you have to decide how you are going to travel on your journey as you see some getting a better "fate" than you. You can choose the happy path, or the bitter path.
Myself, I choose to be happy. Are there things wrong with B6? I'm sure there are, there are things wrong with any job at any airline you want to talk about. I choose to be happy, because my behavior affects my coworkers. If I'm happy, it's going to help them. If I'm bitter, it's going to hurt them. I choose to be happy, because the customers are going to see that, and it will make them feel more positive about their day. If I'm bitter, they aren't going to have a good experience, and it's possible they won't come back. If customers don't come back, the checks stop. That sucks. Ask me how I know. I choose to be happy, because life is too short to be a PITA to my family.
I have to get out the door, but here is one final review about being happy. You owe it to yourself, your family, and your coworkers. Once you start down the bitter path, it is very hard to come back. I made it, but it was one of the toughest battles of my life. Being bitter solves nothing but make you one miserable bastage. It's no picnic for those near and dear to you, either.
So, in summation, essentially I'm suggesting that you make a concious effort to adjust your outlook on life. Instead of griping about what a death camp your workplace is, why don't you try getting involved to make it better? Nothing will change if you just sit on the sidelines waiting for someone to fix it for you. Seriously. Good luck, and I'm out!

There are guys here who take no responsibility for their happiness. It's a choice, just like you said. We, at JetBlue, are pretty darn lucky. There are a lot of people who would give their left nut to be here right now, and instead are suffering at various other airlines. Does that mean that we stop working to improve? Of course not, but it does mean we should STF Up when it comes to the rampant and incessant complaining and moaning.
So yeah, I get exactly what you are saying. Good job, and welcome aboard.

To add to the data points: 26 Feb AM interview, just now got a TBNT letter (dated 13 May, but sent to the wrong address). Mil fighter background, 3800+ TT, 3400+ Multi, 3100+ TPIC, 1600+ IP/FE. No jet time since May '10 due to staff assignment, 200+ hrs GA logged in last 2 years. No skeletons or black marks, so my guess is the lack of recent jet time was the nail in the coffin, but that's only a guess. Good luck to everyone, and good luck to JetBlue

I don't mean this in a bad way but if you look at jetBlue and you can't find anything that you like, well its time to move on. We all know that we have issues and we have many but it isn't the 4th level of hell. The best part is other airlines are hiring and I am sure they would like to have a guy with your experience. If you go it might work out better for you and continue to send the ELT a message that they need to keep our guys here. If you stay try to find some good things and help work to make it a better place. The pilot group took and big step and it seems the the company is working with us, we may have a new CEO soon and I think jetBlue has a very bright future, the ELT just needs to execute.
