jetBlue Hiring

If Jetblue had more gates in LAX then they could tell LGB authorities to play ball or else JB could really shut down completely and move everything to LAX.
Also, imagine if JetBlue had the VA gates in DAL. How many DCA/LGA slots do you think SWA would give up in order to get those DAL gates?? I'd bet it would be quite a significant amount.
Then they could expand the Mint service to all west coast markets and not have to worry about VA. They would have arguably one of the top First class transcon products, and the lowest fare of anyone.

Elimination of the only transcon competitor who has lower costs than JetBlue, valuable gate space in LAX/SFO/DAL, slots in DCA/LGA, west coast frequent fliers and corporate contracts.

But seriously
VA is our only competitor in customer service
so merging with them could be really good

I just commuted on them from LGA to DAL. I thought the "product" was great. Food ordered from a touch screen menu and served by someone that looked she was from the cast of "Top Model." Sorry, but that's what the customers want. Crew - inflight and flight deck - treated me outstanding. It began with, " if you wanna take off your shirt we'd happily serve you complimentary cocktails." What kind of operation are you guys running here? That's how you roll? Ohhhh, uniform shirt.
