The problem is we don't have it in writing officially. We've got a verbal "you're getting it." But the Nov 2014 class was told, "we can't give you a PEA or a CBA," so you've got to take our word. I believe the company will pay it (my opinion only). But, come next year there's no contractual obligation to do so. An email is not a contractual obligation. And the cost for me to lawyer up would probably eliminate the $6000 I was expected to get - verses the company with lawyers on staff. I'm confident, but I wouldn't go spend that money just yet.

Not comparing JetBlue to a regional. I've been trying to get on with blue for a while and these shackles here are getting tighter and tighter. I know everywhere has its issues but damn I would much rather deal with the issues at blue compared to the ones here.

Isn't first year pay $49 ?
QUOTE=Std Deviation;1855806]I can tell you about the first year. Hired in Nov. Completed IOE in January. Broke 100 hrs (including the 25 hrs IOE this week). Take $51 times 75 and that's your monthly gross. Apply your tax rate and deductions accordingly. Cold, wet, and sandy. No easy day. In my case the entire first check goes to the mortgage... Well that's because it includes the per diem (without the PD I'd come up short!).
It is what it is. I've learned to embrace the misery as normal. Just smile and nod when your captain talks about importing his sports car from Italy or his house in Aspen then asks to borrow a buck for the van driver. Act like you forgot when he inquires why you didn't come down to enjoy $8 Amstel light drafts at the hotel...
I'm being snarky of course but it's not the greatest the first year. Wife is counting the days until the first year anniversary.[/QUOTE]

I appreciate all the info. I noticed on jetBlue's data page on APC, upgrades seem rather quick (most junior CA E190 feb of 12). Do y'all foresee that being the case for sometime? or will it even out in the next couple of years?

Living in base, this would be a great reserve gig as I didn't work all Easter weekend (instead spending it in a Crashpad and at local businesses owned by ethnicities that don't celebrate such holiday... All the Italian Catholic places were closed!)

When are system bids?
I live in BOS and starting class on 4/29. Ideally will get the Bus but trying to avoid sitting reserve in JFK too long. In an ideal world I'd sit at home on reserve in the Bus. Think I could hold BOS after a system bid?
