As in just getting there at all. I've tried last three system bids and could not hold it. I noticed some pretty senior people transferred over. So it will be over a year for me and still have not gotten it. If memory serves this last go around we had 6 FO slots available in FLL. Currently a JFK FO.

Hmmmm, thanks for the information. That is very disappointing to hear.

Always a bridesmaid never a bride. Thought for sure I'd get it on this one. Then I scanned up the list...way up the list...to see to whom the slots went. Never know what people are going to bid for. I know there's two guys in my class and two in the class before us that still want FLL.

I asked for day in the life after a couple months on the line - said I never got it when I arrived in JFK. Never used PBS before. Chief Pilot removed me from schedule with pay and I commuted to MCO and back in the same day for the 4 hour course (held in the Lodge). If you've never used PBS it holds some value. The scheduling guys explained the system logic in depth.

And give up 20 days a month sitting reserve in a crashpad in South Ozone eating Mike's Deli, Pizza Port, or Don Pepe's - cash only you don't see nothin' ? Give up the constant smell of curry? The rumble of the top bunk when JFK is landing 13L? The bag drag through 3 inches of slush over a highway overpass from Lefferts? The mariachi music until 3am? The work release workout partners at Richie's gym? I can't imagine why anyone would want reserve in FL?

I believe the El Salvadorans actually edge out the Columbians in EB. Brazil is in the third spot.

LOL, this is probably the most comprehensive and succinct post on reserve crashing in JFK that I have read yet. Thanks, it's always nice to know what the future holds. ;-)
