JetBlue Hiring Window - First Officer
Just a quick heads up - the First Officer window will open on August 10th and close on August 24th. Visit us at JetBlue Pilot Gateway Programs to apply. Good luck!
Remember, if you have previously applied, you will be required to reapply to be considered for future opportunities.

It's been hit or miss for the March guys. Some got lines right out of the chute, while the junior ones are still sitting and might well do so until winter peak..

There's not much you can do to prepare for the aptitude test other than get a good night's sleep and eat a good breakfast or grab a quick snack before hand. It's has some personality-type questions and some multi-tasking stuff. Read the directions closely. There's also a part where you fly an A-10 (I think?) with a desktop joystick. That part's pretty straight-forward. The test comes at the end of the day and IIRC, it takes about two hours. I think that's the most challenging thing about it. I know it counts for something, but no idea how much it counts. I think they're trying to gather reliable baseline data with which to evaluate future Gateway Select (ab initio) applicants, but definitely take it seriously.
For the LORs, you can have up to 3 externals in addition to however many internals you have.
All in all, the interview is a great experience and they try to make it as stress-free and enjoyable as possible. Good luck!

Perfect, just what I was looking for. I have 4 internal recs plus 3 external, so I'll just bring them all. I am guessing the internal recs don't need to be signed since JetBlue has a very direct means to verify with their own employees, but I'll get them to sign them none the less. Thanks for the info, and for the luck!

Spot on about the aptitude test. There is no way to study, but do what he says and take your time with it.
I had 3 external LOR in addition to 2 internal letters.
March 24th interview and August 3rd class. Just for a frame of reference.
Good luck!
And thank you to everyone who posted in response to my 190 reserve questions in NY and BOS. Much obliged.
