Yet over 700 pilots (22% of eligible to vote) decided it wasn't worth their time to vote...

76% participation. About the same as the ALPA vote. Just remember there are still those among us who prefer the Direct Relationship...

If 24% (or 22% or whatever) can't even be bothered to vote themselves a pay raise what the hell will happen with a ta? It blows my mind.

I can understand a "no vote" before a "didn't vote"

Well, we have ratified the LOA. Now the company knows we will capitulate to any carrot that appears on a string. They're very good at hiding the string while showing the carrot. This enables the pilot group to continue to hustle forward with no reward. Our open time Flica hoors will only drool more when a soft time trip drops manna from the heavens. Cumbya will prevail.

We are certainly a solid unified group. 97% in favor of capitulation.

NostraBubbs continues to predict immediate ratification of the 1st TA presented by the MEC.

This makes no sense.

What was the alternative, Bubs? Voting no, patting yourself on the back and taking a 13% pay cut? How does that help the pilots as a group, or you, as an individual?

The union has stated that under no uncertain terms, that voting for this LOA will have ZERO affect in either the timeline for an ultimate TA or a lessening of what we ultimately will vote on.

Stop being so melodramatic. This was an opportunity to get a small increase in pay for 2017 and a few extra vacation days. That's it. What our NC negotiates for remains unchanged. If the company chooses to falsely believe that this vote referendum can somehow be interpreted as weakness or division...well....they're sorely mistaken.

I'm with this guy.

The MEC told us to vote this in and that's what we did.
