We are going to stay understaffed system wise, if people keep picking up RSA. Let's do ourself a long term favor, and stop doing it.

Staffing is one thing I was looking forward to about leaving the regionals. I was under the impression that once you made it to a major airline job, that it would actually allow you time at home with flexibility from being properly staffed. I hope there is some language in our cba that dictates minimum staffing requirements.

I don't. I have so few days off (compared to just 6 months ago) thanks to our staffing levels the last thing I want to do is volunteer for more work. Why others subject themselves to it, I don't know. They must have miserable home lives or live way beyond their means and need the money.
And they'll wonder why they will have an issue with pilots calling in sick this summer... (fatigue induced weakened immune system, of course!)

Staffing is pretty good on the 320. Most RSV CA's I fly with say they're not getting used that much. On the FO side it's been pretty quiet too.
I think the 190 guys are just in shock that they're short staffed. They've always had the lowest line divisors, JR line holders getting 15-16 days off etc.

JFK 320 FO has 16 of the 27 days left in the month over min coverage. And that's the largest base/seat here I think. Not quite at crisis level.

Agreed!!!! Of the numerous airlines I've been, this place is the worst when comes to greedy individuals only looking out for themselves.

Of course there is but as I stated above holds true. I think working a few years for an airline while being observant and most times being very involved within the union is enough proof to make a fairly accurate assessment.
