Something to keep in mind with aircraft deliveries...
Right now as we're taking deliveries of new aircraft, others will be going offline for the cabin refit. So the staffing will be slower until the refits are done.
Also, we're obviously still hiring and growing. Lots of classes scheduled this fall to my knowledge.

Will the application window be opening again soon?

I honestly think that the plan all along was to drag this out until another downturn in the economy comes along and cry that there are difficult times ahead. Blah blah blah. Hope I'm wrong but it's a lot of money on the table.
Think of all those 10 hour 3 days that will have to pay 15+ hours now. 😂

Agreed. And the company needs to know predictable costs before it can make long-term plans.

I'd rather just get more money via rig than some super duper productive pairing. I'd rather be making money relaxing at the hotel/beach than sitting 18 hours in a jet over 2 days.

Not sure if it's possible with the route structure combined with the marketability of red eyes.

The company will manipulate the pairings once a new rig has been agreed. It will certainly be more in the favor of the pilots compared with today's way, but the pairings will be built to optimize cost with efficiency. So it won't be a windfall or all 15-18 hour 2 leg AUA's.

The other thing that concerns me is that the stock price continues to sink while we make money. I agree that long term plans involve costs and the CBA is a big part of that. However, a low stock price and maybe put in some cry me a river about the weather and atc wowes and now there's fodder for negotiations in the CBA or reasoning for a sale. Any other company having problems competing? Hurricane problems? I'll answer my own question. UAL.

I think we may be on the precipice of this occurring. I hate to use tragedy as a talking point, but with the Caribbean being wiped out, they certainly have their sticking point of "we're losing money, we can't pay you." Especially if TJSJ is down for awhile, we have a ton of revenue thats at stake
1.2 billion pre-tax income in 2016..........We are not being greedy. Fair and equitable.......
