This is probably your best answer on how long (currently) to hold a line... a year to a year and a half. But that is right now.... It can always change.

Yes! Keep that crashpad. You probably won't be spending much time at your pad in the beginning until you get to about 100-120 hrs in type and druing summer months, but once summer is over, you could be spending days on end sitting around not getting called, and even once you start holding move ups/hybrid and a full line, the trips won't be all the greatest and probably uncommutable (depending where you commute from and how much trip trading/swapping you will do).
Like mentioned already, reserve time can change. They are finally starting to even out the new hire classes between Bus and E190, for a while the majority were all going to the E-Jet. Obviously a new base could also change things up.

I will not be surprised.
I will be flabbergasted.
This entire West Coast rumor is a ruse, IMO!
We don't have the infrastructure (gates, aircraft or man power) but we have lots and lots of hope.
I heard a month ago that we picked up some aircraft from China. I asked where is the SEC filing. "Oh we didn't like those aircraft we are now looking at Russia".
I'll believe it when I see it.

I actually don't think your thought process is wrong at all. Those of us who have been here long enough have heard it all.
Having said that, there does seem to be some smoke out there, and I think we have a CEO who's more aggressive than in the past (at least since Dave II anyway).
But being skeptical around this place is healthy, no doubt about it!

I will be flabbergasted as well. All talk/rumor, only action is decreasing ASM growth and deferring aircraft deliveries.

Exactly! Suddenly nothing happened...again! We don't have enough airplanes to adequately serve current markets. Yes the airline has grown but this company is really good at robbing Peter to pay Paul. This place is for sale.
