Hey can anyone answer a question about non-revving (Didn't want to start a new thread). I'm planning on going on a trip in a handful of weeks and it'll be on a flight with Mint. I know it's $75/leg to fly Mint, but if I just list as a regular non-rev and there are open Mint seats, what are the chances of the FAs or gate agents letting me sit up front?
I know when I used to commute on AA/UAL/DL, if there were open seats in first/business they'd let me come up. I'm not interested in the food etc, really just would rather lay down for a 5hr flight.

Zero chance. Have to pay to play. Just my experience. I have however been given a mint seat on a non-mint Flight that had to be substituted. I asked your question to the F1 and the answer was no,” they’re tighter with mint than a teen aged boys backside”... 🤮

Yep, actually, they are pretty tough on pax too that try to scam a EML seat.

They have spewed this “we are all equal” BS for 18 years. If they let you sit up there then they have to let everyone sit there. They don’t want certain people up there. If you think about it, it fits perfectly with the millennial lib philosophy of the people running this place.

I don't even commute on us anymore and I just bought plane tickets on Delta this past week for me and my family for vacation.

Yes you should get the mint seats for free but I’m pretty sure your AO people dorked that up.

Wow, that's so messed up. I know on UAL when I had their benefits if you asked or listed for first/business then you would be charged (Usually like 30 or so bucks) but once on board the FAs would let you go on up if there were open seats. I don't get why they won't allow employees to just ride mint. I hope that changes in the future.
$75 is steep considered you fly their airplanes...
