Without knowing specifics it’s hard what to suggest but I would consider the legacies first for all the reasons mentioned on this board. I don’t view jetblue as a career job but depending on your situation and seniority it may be better to sit at jetblue for a while until a legacy calls
I actually agree with this, but I would add that if the new CBA work rules are as advertised on top of the retirement and scope, this could be considered a career airline.
The BIG problem is the relative youth of the top 25%. The legacies are superior in pay/profit sharing and retirements (movement). This is important obviously.
I would characterize B6, under a new CBA, as a borderline career airline-for now anyway.
Flame away...

Delta has hired 4,000 in the last 3 years. I have a few friends who are using it to get out of the regionals but are making plans to bail to American or United if they can get a call because they'll never get above 25% on the Delta list.

I can see that, but Delta will ALWAYS be ahead of B6, so going there, with the movement and ability to fly different equipment is smart. Leaving DAL for UAL or AA is something I would have to see to believe.
Let me know how many actually do that- Im callin total BS train.

I've heard similar things. For instance, someone that has aspirations being a widebody Captain, both United and Delta has already hired the last one they'll need for decades to come.

Don't take my word, go look at the retirement numbers and crunch them yourself, it's not as pretty as it looks on the surface.

Like bro just said, delta has already hired it's last wide body captain for a few decades.

Not BS on the numbers, BS on anyone in their right mind leaving DAL for anywhere else. I thought that was clear.
No one, unless theyre in their first year, is gonna leave DAL for the potential dumpster fires out there.

Yea they're going to leave DAL or UAL for the stellar work rules at AA and the off chance that they'll hold WB captain some day in another decade?!
Nfw they do that unless they're morons.
DAL and UAL have the best CBAs. No one is leaving them.

I heard some new Delta pilots in the terminal talking about how they are only staying at Delta until JB finishes it's fleet review. Then coming here.

Everyone has different priorities in this industry. Mine, in order of importance? Scope, seniority progression, work rules, pay rates.

Everything else is a distraction.

Movement over work rules? Interesting.
