I know, but I'm still fairly new, and shaking my military mind set of taking one for the team.

Me from here on out: No. I'm going to need 2 hours.
That's the problem! Still too many blue juicers and people willing to help out the company, doesn't matter if you are new or not. 2 hours period and you can get 2.5 hrs if its for LGA.

Like I said, never again. Sorry it took a few months to understand this crazy private sector. I'm just a caveman. Your ways are strange, and frightening to me.

Not trying to single you out, just in general, we still have way too many folks here helping out the company and drinking the blue juice as management continues to take away more and more from us. I'm really worried that if it comes down it and we start picketing we will have such a low turnout it will be embarrassing.

Aside from the military we hire (most don't get it), it's going to be a strong turn out. I'm looking forward to the day we stand proud while providing information to blewjet passengers about our treatment at this company. One of the lowest paid major airline, what a shame!! "It's my money and I want it now!"

Never say you'll show earlier than 2 hours after you're called out on reserve (2.5 for LGA).
I also let the phone call go to voicemail and call back as close to 15 minutes later as I can. Not my problem if they don't allow enough time for a call-out plus the 15 minutes you have to call them back. Even if they're a few minutes off here or there I make it known: "OK I'm showing 10:03 right now so we'll call it a 12:03 show as opposed to a 12:00 show. Thanks"
I also never acknowledge trips assigned on reserve from those JETCRW emails either. I make em call me, and if they miss the 2 hour call out mark.....oh well.
Also, with this new positive check-in, I will not arrive to the gate 1 minute before I am supposed to. In the past, at times, if I was there at the gate, a few minutes early, I'd go board the aircraft because what the hell else was I gonna do? Now, no more.
As far as picketing, I hope it doesn't have to come down to it, but this pilot WILL be there.

There are lots of jetblue military guys who "get it". And if they don't, most guys at JB will help to educate and inform them to "get it" just as they would were a civilian to enter their sphere of aviation.

Unilateral actions like this by the company will only manage to unify the pilot group. First Officer B.R. and the company just fired a shot across the bow.

So let's focus on our common goals: getting the CBA jetblue pilots deserve and making sure there's a nice long line for the red phones in the crew room as we wait to make a phone call to crew scheduling 50 minutes prior to D0.

So... How about that vacancy bid? Nothing like making us wait days for something that takes about 10 minutes.
