If only the app made it clear...I used to think it was pretty good but it seems the seat blocking as thrown it for a loop. Especially because some of the middle seats can be booked if the party is in the same PNR, which makes the blocked seats variable.

I do wish they’d add an accurate “available seats” though.

Does AA partnership with B6 include possibility using some of the regional carriers used by AA?

It’s a codeshare limited to NY and BOS flights. So if AA is using RJs, they can carry B6 code. But there won’t be any AA regionals operating for B6. AA regionals can operate within the scope of AA, but not for say jetblue Express. That said, AA gave B6 slots in JFK and LGA (so lower total AA/AE flights), and Vasu has said there will be fewer RJs, so the net effect is likely more JB narrowbody flights and fewer outsourced RJs in the NYC/BOS area. That’s assuming there’s a recovery, and assuming this gets approved.

The app is pretty clear. Just looking at it right now, the "total" seats on the app only take into consideration the max authorized seats offered for sale. "available" only shows how many of those authorized seats are available. I just checked it against the numbers we see in myidtravel.

That is not correct. I just made a listing for today to check and see. myidtravel says the following:
capacity 162, authorized* 103, seats sold 79, seats avail 24. All that math makes sense.

But then the app, on the standby list page, says 83 available / 162 total then shows the 2 standbys in order. This is the same scenario that the OAL guy mentioned. Without looking at myidtravel or blueeye or something, there is no way to see the actual load situation.

So if you’re only looking at the app, you see total unsold seats and total seats...it doesn’t take into account the caps. I’m not sure what you’re seeing, but I have yet to see that on any of my commutes, or the example I just gave for the itinerary I just made for the sake of looking this up.

Interesting. The app lined up perfectly with the math from myidtravel the day I listed.

edit: I just listed for another flight and it shows exactly what myidtravel shows. I wonder why we get different numbers....

So is there any higher non rev priority for JB pilots on AA because of the code share? How about ZED fares for JB travel companions on AA?

On one of the calls yesterday somebody (I think it was SL) said that they would like to eventually see ZED 0 for family.

Its all being hashed out right now..... but the deal has to get passed the regulators first.

Nothing has been finalized and regulatory approval is still pending, so all of these details are still to be determined. Besides, if CARES 2 actually comes to fruition, all of this will becomes moot.
