Thanks! So I see the company match is capped at $10,000 annually and they match 100% for the first 5%, so you basically have to make at least $200,000/year in order to earn their $10,000 cap. Am I understanding that correctly?

I flew for a regional for what felt like 10,000 years. I left a few years ago to start a business with a friend. We sold the business for a nice profit and now I've got the flying bug again. ACMI seems like a nice fit for me but there's a few things I'm confused about.
How does scheduling work? It sounds like they buy you an airline ticket and you live on the road for several weeks and then they buy you a ticket back home. Anyone care to share what a typical schedule looks like? It sounds like everyone ends up in coach on their deadheads. Do you get miles and status for all of your deadheading? Do you get business class for 16 hour international flights? |

Do you get business class for 16 hour international flights? The short answer to your question is that yes, they buy you a ticket to and from your end and start point. Generally you are out 16 days straight but there are usually some split lines that may have a small block (3-6 days) and a big block or equally divided blocks. I don't like them as we travel out on our last day off so you effectively lose a day off by bidding a split line. There is no normal schedule. You could be doing literally anything. We get business class for any international flight (includes HI and AK) over three hours. If it is not available at time of booking we get a financial compensation for having to ride coach. You can also elect to ride coach and take the cash. CONUS is all coach. Normally we collect our airline miles and at some properties hotel points. |

You said your last rotation was 11 days. Did you get 19 or 20 days off for the month? |

My first year FO pay gross is north of 120k. No comparison to any other ACMI. Only reason to go anywhere else is if Kalitta said no to you.
especially considering the training pay for what I assume is about two months. How is extra pay obtained at Kalitta ? (Flying more days? premium pay?) Thanks for any info! |
