a couple? probably closer to 10k.

1/2 of all the regional guys would be 9k alone. Now add in the expats, the corp guys, the 91k guys, the furloughed guys, and everybody else.

The regional guys are going nowhere near any legacy for at least 5 years, and no LCC for at least 2-3. (The exception is Fedex and UPS which are still hiring and do take an occasional regional guy, just have great college, check airman, lots of PIC, and fantastic networking).

A place like Kalitta, Omni, ATI just became very smart moves. Even Atlas/Southern since they'll finally be closing in on a contract. Once that happens they won't be hiring more regional guys; the more experienced will be applying and taking the jobs. At many of those ACMI's they'd be a Captain by the time the legacies even begin hiring again.

K4 is a very good job to have.

the site was shut down because there were too many applicants. We don’t have a shortage of apps, our problem is finding the ones we want I’m guessing. I doubt the window will open again for some time. But I don’t work in SOC so who knows

How long was the window open? I had been checking every couple weeks but never saw the window open here.

Recommend you jump back and start re-reading posts starting around page 334.

Just hit “reply all” to anything that comes your way and you’ll be locked in for a class date.

Especially if you have a dui and aren’t allowed on in Canada

Not at all, just that there's a lot more detailed info there from the folks who were directly involved. My own observation is that the info there still seems to apply.

I saw it looked like it was only open for a little starting on sept 30th. Might have closed later that day or a day or 2 later based off posts. I’m trying to find a way in right now. I’m seeing if I know anyone at K4 but since I was not able to apply during the last window I’m not sure they would consider my resume. From reading the thread it does not sound like getting an app in last window was critical if you have an internal rec. Unfortunately I don’t have much spectacular on my resume (run of the mill civilian pilot now out of a flying job) so I’m trying to find any leg up that I can.
