Yes it was referred to the engines.
What a difference between the 300RR and the ER with GE

The ONLY nice thing about the RR engines is they could be started simultaneously :)

Captain bids..

How junior do you think the latest captain bids would go?

Got my application in with Kalitta Air as of 30 days ago. Hopefully will hear something sooner than later. Any thoughts on how the hiring process is going these days?

When FOs are flying trips in the left seat with CAs in the back DHing...yea...it makes you wonder at least a little.

maxjet 05-07-2021 10:30 AM

Wow! Talk about Drama Queen. I am sure the union could have put their foot down and either had the senior most eligible CA compensated or the company could have dropped the trip.

Somehow, it doesn’t surprise me that your arguing against respecting seniority.

On a brighter note, congrats to the new CAs today.

Can anyone kindly PM me an email for the CP or assistant? It's been a while since HR don't take in resume or app updates and the jobs page does mention to contact fleet.

Much appreciated!

I appreciate you're probably already working at K4, but for those on the outside this is what's on their jobs page:

"Do NOT contact Human Resources for status follow up - please contact the Chief Pilots Office for all pilot inquiries"

app going through?

I applied to Kalitta in 2018 when I was likely not qualified, but figured it was worth a shot.
Now, I’m definitely qualified as far as their minimums go.
I’ve updated my profile and uploaded my resume, etc.. but when I click on the first officer position, it says “application submitted” and shows the 2018 date.
Am I doing something wrong or if my profile is updated, will that get through to them?
under “my applications” it shows nothing at all..

They were doing interviews today, so I’m sure they were too busy to call back. Leave a message with the best time to call you back, be patient and answer the phone next time you get a call from MI.

Need4speed21 06-29-2021 07:56 PM

Thank you so much for the advice I appreciate it,I will definitely answer my phone next time K4 is my dream job I’ve been wanting to work there for a long time thanks 🙏🏻

Good luck
hope to see you on the line!!

They do call

FWIW: I applied three months back, no internal recommendations, But qualified with Wide Body international experience and several PIC hours. I did get the call, pre screen interview at the same time. Invited to YIP for formal interview and Job offer was extended. Good luck to all. Remember you have show up ready to work hard for 16 days. This is reality in GLOBAL ACMI operations.

Thanks for the encouragement. Your journey sounds a lot like mine several applications with no word. But I've just reached out to a friend for help.
Another acquaintance of mine on the 777 says new hires need prior experience on the triple due to the training footprint being a short course through Boeing Miami. And to expect 74 or 76? But I'm sure someone here can confirm this. Super stoked for you, congratulations. Time to get the suite out, fitted and dry cleaned.
I've been attempting to prepare for the compass test just in case I get the call. Any suggested sites to utilize?

well ..yes and no

at the present time we do not layover in HK due to their draconian covid restrictions on crews...we just fly thru....but that won't last forever and HK layovers will resume at some point

I think 2 flts per day thru HK

Thanks Lockheed for the clarification on the 777 info. Are the 777 and 747 similar in trips.

Right now the 777 is just doing DHL trips, and most of it is around the pacific. LA, SYD, SIN, HKG, NGO with a few going east CVG, LEJ, BAH.
The 747 does everything, but a large amount of the flying is China. ANC, ICN, China, ORD, JFK, LAX. It also does the military, Pacific Air Cargo, the postal runs, and South America.
