I know what Maxjet is getting at though. Up until the current climate I absolutely loved going to work here. Then when it all started...we were all thankful to have a job and be doing well. But it’s starting to take a toll on the troops. And thanks to the China visa deniers.... All I see is the Incheon vortex.
Michelin star fried buns in Hong Kong...lazy afternoons with beers in town square in anywhereville Europe, crazy one off charters to some Norwegian Air Force Base......Give me that at min guarantee and I’m a happy camper. Stack it up while we can though I guess. As for the guy above talking about “$0.50 for overtime” above....... My W2 would hurt his whole family’s feelings.

I know of a few pilots that left the ACMI to go back to regionals as it was deteriorating their health. I also ran into a K4 Kalitta mechanic that looked and smelled like a homeless guy in skid row. Trump circus cheerleaders need a psychiatric evaluation as I don't feel safe flying with. The pay at ACMIs is horrendous flying a heavy around the world, picking up overtime to make another 50 cents to stay on the road for a month fudge that. With the amount of hiring that will be happening by the majors these kinda places will be importing pilots from China.

CBA 6.B.3.b
"The Company will also make commercially reasonable efforts to secure layover facilities that meet the following preferred criteria. It will not be a violation of this Agreement if the Company, after making commercially reasonable efforts, is unable to provide the items list as preferred."
Then it lists a bunch of stuff like laundry, points, shopping nearby, etc.
They can pull all the points and I believe we would have a very hard time fighting it via grievance.

Not really. Our CBA says they'll try to give us points essentially.

API is known to screw up, all the time, and when they do, it can take 6 hours to reach someone on the phone.

I was asking, when you get to a hotel and API screwed up and didn't make a reservation, do you have a set timeline on when you can whip out the company card and just book your own?

ive heard of guys getting their own hotels. If you make your next flight and give the receipts to the company I’ve never heard a complaint.
