K4’s current CBA is a result of IBT. I guess we’ll see how ALPA does in about 5-6 years.

Negotiations start the 20th. Watch the video that the negotiating committee released.

In theory, you’d think since the cargo world is in a downturn, the company would want to push a contract through quickly before it trends back the other direction, right?

I've been through long negotiations, 7+ years. Anything less than that would be great. It can't be any worse than IBT right?! |
Then
Hopefully the IBT can work on Miami Air quickly too as it’s really terrible.

The beautiful thing is that K4 has a pretty decent deal right now on a supplemental carrier level. There should only be a few key points needing addressing. The unity of the K4 pilots when it came to standing up and taking control of their situation is admirable, so hopefully the ALPA contract will not be a long drawn out process and not be hung up for ulterior motives like the IBT contract.
