Default Kalitta Pilots CBA update

Kalitta Pilots represented by ALPA have reached and Agreement in Principle on all sections of a new CBA. This was announced DEC 23 just 3 days after the contract become amendable. Proof will be in the details but early reports are that there will be pay increases, a better retirement plan and other quality of life improvements.

Congratulations to all the K4 pilots. Well done getting a new CBA to this point. The rest of us are hoping you made substantial gains. A rising tide hopefully lifts all boats.

When was the last one? Feels like not that long ago.

Wow congrats! Are the details posted anywhere? There must be a lot of money in this for Connie. No reason for him to negotiate in this environment except unless maybe he is looking to finance new airplanes or something? Must be a very interesting back story to this.

Maybe Connie wants K4 to be a career destination vs a pit stop. Smart move on K4s part!

It is easy to get jaded. Sometimes people just do the right thing because it’s right. Merry Christmas.

This is one of the more thought-provoking takes I've seen around. It's no secret that Connie has profited greatly these last four years from being able to go to clients and lenders alike and tell them he currently runs the most stable shop in the ACMI world. It's entirely possible that his business partners have already baked that stability into their dealings with K4, and have gently suggested it would be in everyone's best interests to git'r'done ASAP rather than risk a return to the Bad Old Days.

A management team capable of seeing win/win solutions to challenges like these is a vanishingly rare thing in this business. We're all waiting to actually see the language before making up our minds, but I think we've been given reason to expect good news.
