Interesting...Atlas and ABX are under old CBAs and negotiating new ones. Atlas and ABX pilots only care what Delta, United, FedEx, UPS, Southwest and American pilots make.

Please tell me you are not trying to compare old ABX and Atlas rates against your new TA?!?!?

You are right....Kalitta most likely makes more profit per aircraft than Delta or united could ever hope to make.

Why settle for mediocrity? I think it will pass....too many guys like Al-colholic who thinks Connie pays them enough.

Retirement (*percentage of pay contributed by the company, no pilot contribution required to earn this money)

Southwest - 15% (option 16%)*
American - 16%*
Delta - 15%*
United - 16%*
FedEx - Pension + 7%*
UPS - Pension + 12%*

Kalitta - 5% Match / Pilot contribution required (not to exceed $10,000 in a year)

This new Kalitta CBA looks a lot like the stinking CBA we have at Atlas. And we are absolutely up in arms about it.

There is no reason ACMI carriers should pay less. They've just hoodwinked people (like hercdriver) into thinking they deserve less than everyone else.

I don't have a dog in the fight. I understand fighting for improvements, but if Atlas and ABX are able to be successful in the next few years I would be be surprised if this K4 contract (if voted in) once again was completely industry trailing. Good luck in your decision K4 folks, we are all pulling for you!

Since Atlas got the current contract, five years ago, I have been paid by rigs 95% of the time. HUGE!

I have no dog in this fight. We are trying to raise ourselves to the FedEx/UPS level instead of the other direction. K4 folks, you will have our support either way.

If you want "freedom" you're in the wrong business. The company tells you what to do. The FAA tells you what to do. And the union executives and negotiating committee members that you voted in negotiate on behalf of the desires of ALL K4 pilots. Not just the ones desperate for a quick pay raise.

Didn't wear out shoe leather. Did wear out some rubber on my muck boots because it was colder than snot out there when I arrived at the line at 1am with coffee and pizza to support my fellow 1224 pilots. Didn't see any K4 pilots crossing the line, but didn't see any walking the line either (note: There may have been some ... I wasn't there the whole time). I assume you were not because you were busy obsessing about DW.

I am just a line pilot who is getting pretty sick of you blaming your lot in life on Atlas pilots. There is clearly nothing that I could ever do to sabotage your contract. To think otherwise displays a serious level of paranoia that may require therapy of some sort. Furthermore, since you now have your TA, I am unclear about why you are still whining. I hope you realize that only K4 pilots will be voting on the contract, don't you. Atlas pilots have nothing to do with your contract. Never did. Never will.

In fact, the only thing that I have EVER said about your contract is that I hope you get a great one.

No. I have not noticed this. I have noticed that the vast majority of K4 pilots seem to be great guys. Some of whom I have flown with at other airlines. They all seem to realize that we are all in the same boat and the real enemy is airline management, not their fellow pilots and union brothers. Because of this, it'll be so much easier to spot you and your finger when you come out to fly.

DC8... there has been nothing QUICK about this process or this potential TA/payraise/new contract... nearly 6 years in the making. Goldfinger lost his whole career to inept airline management...believe me when I say he understands WHO the enemy is. That said, whether those at Atlas choose to believe it or not, the president of 1224 forced this process to go months longer than necessary and for something that didnt even appear in our survey of things that mattered most to us. Do I believe it was vindictive, NO, but it was with an agenda, just not ours. Thats water under the bridge at this point, in the end CA Bourne from the Airline Division is the "big gun" who made this happen and for that the pilots of K4 are grateful.

This TA that is before us is not perfect, far from it, but it is however steps in the right direction for this pilot group and for what we have worked under for nearly 10 years. There is room for improvement moving forward of that there is no doubt. Will this TA pass?, I guess we will find out sometime just before Christmas. There are things not in this TA I wish we had, on the flip side of that there is at least one thing I never thought we would get. Everyone eligible to vote should do so, and do so for their own reasons and in the end the pilots of K4 will have to live with the result either way. Good Luck to all.

Gentlemen, (DC and Gold)
Is there any logical or non-emotional reason why you persist in this petty argument? Clearly, you both disagree with each others viewpoint. Just agree to disagree and please move on. I for one, am tired of looking on here for someone's interpretation of a section of the TA that I had not considered, only to find your constant bickering. Enough already. Please start your own "my pee pee is bigger than yours thread" and get off of this one.
