Sorry, Blumpkin, I've never laid over in Bangkok.

Have to visit the Nana Plaza on Sukhumvit Rd. By far the best live entertainment in the city. Best bar's there are easily Carousel and Angelwitch. If you haven't been there you haven't seen the nightlife of Bangkok.

If you need help finding something to get into in Bangkok, you are blind. I think you'll do find. If nothing else, just say yes when somebody asks if you want to get a soapie.

Try the Hilton on Wireless Road, it's cross-town from the River (east) but within walking distance to most attractions. Tip the bellman, and ask questions.
