Trip Ideas needed
My girlfriend and I are wanting to go somewhere overseas to celebrate New Years. I've done the Europe thing too many times and would like to head in the opposite direction.
Wondering if someone has any ideas for a great place to go that's affordable for new years. I was looking at Hong Kong, but tickets would be almost $3,500. Any ideas and suggestions? Would like to be gone about a week.

Sydney!
They go crazy over new years. Huge party all across the city apparently (good friend lives there). The city is a great place to visit any time of the year if you've never been. Just my $.02

Maybe going on the vacation by yourself would be a good start to the process.
I'm pretty sure that taking a week long vacation to exotic parts of the world for fun-filled times is not the first step to moving on
