My problem with flying cargo was I got really tired of being really tired. It was all all night flying. I flew a lot of red eyes flying pax but it was usually one or two a week. Not every night. Plus I worked for a low rent cargo carrier where it was always a dark and stormy night flying a broken down old airplane. I then worked for a major flying shiney new planes that were well maintained and paid a lot better. I'll take the passengers any day. As far as being exciting the freight with engine fires, high speed aborts, and cockpits held together by deferral stickers was much more exciting.

FUN? Would be interesting to hear your definition of fun...

Amen! These are the reasons I loved flying freight.

From the exposure to freight flying in the cargo world, I'd like that flying better just because my personality would fit in with the other freight haulers, I'm not so concerned about being PC, respectful to others, but not PC. The 2 regionals I have been involved with, it's all about PC. I'm just thick skinned I guess and don't take things so personal.

Flew freight for six years. Big stuff, round the world stuff.

Had a blast, glad I got the opportunity.

Never want to go back to it again.

I'm having way more fun flying with the sun avove my head than below my a$s. I enjoy bringing kids up to the flight deck and letting their parents take pictures while at the gate. Every now and then you get a troublesome pax, but by and large, most are a pleasure to deal with.

I've been told there's no weather at night.

That's a good one.

For me though, night freight was the perfect choice. :D I just got into the wrong employers line. Twice.

Only twice? Then you are way below the average then.
