You can always email HR and ask them.
I was to be employed in April, just had the sim check and oral scheduled to take. Mid-March I was told to hang tight, because they didn`t feel they could safely put 4 people in the Sim with Covid still rampant. Received a call in June asking if I had had a 135/121/61.55 Sim check in the last year and they would forego their sim check. I hadn`t, so the word was just hang in there. At least I know all my background checks were passed. I think Covid cases will have to be extremely low before I am called.[/QUOTE
Did you get notified that your background check was complete? I have not heard anything in months. Are they still processing them with Covid?

Fairly easy to transfer between specialties “IF” you meet the qualifications. There is an internal guidance document on this, called the QAT, Qualifications Assessment Tool. Biggest hurdle for most is going from Air Carrier to GA Ops. Must have a current CFI, CFII, and MEI for GA Ops.

I finished all my paperwork back at the first of July. They haven’t contacted me since. I have talked to the HR person a couple of times and they are just held in limbo. There was the government shutdown that was looming and I think they didn’t know how long that would last. His words were there is no update.
I have been through countless hiring process and I have to say the FAA has got to be the most unorganized, disastrous process I have encountered. Drug test sent to the wrong place, emails sent to the wrong addresses, unresponsive and rude to any questions asked, the list just keeps going.
They told me they had over 250 Initial job offers out when it was shut down.

And you want to work for them? It doesn’t get better just because you are on the inside looking out.

Never said anything about not wanting to work there. The post i replied to was wanting an update. The information I provided was for potential hires that would be going through the process. You have to stay in contact and keep the process moving.
