To jump in and provide some input on my interview experience (as requested by an active member in this thread, who was very helpful in my efforts to learn more about this process/job):

I have now interviewed twice. I have been offered a position after both interviews, declined the first due to low FG band offer, second offer/interview is still in the works.

My 'gouge' is to know your own experience. Sounds obvious, but in my opinion, the questions mimic the KSA's you have already completed. The questions are pre-made and placed on a sheet of paper in front of you, no surprises or additional questions from interviewers. They will read the questions as you answer them, this will literally be all you hear from them outside of pen scratching. There are maybe one or two HR-type 'tell me about a time...' type of questions, but a majority are looking for you to dive into your experience and explain in detail what it is you have done in your past aviation experience. Literally nothing technical, I assume that will be in the coming checkride.

My experience: 1700tt, ATP CFI/CFII/MEI, corporate and 135 experience, international ops. Been out of the cockpit for over a year in an aviation desk position, which I think might be why I was able to get multiple invites after nothing in previous attempts.

Best of luck, everyone.

How long did you have to wait after the in person interview for the phone call with the tentative offer?

The first time I heard back a month later, the second time it was a week. I think the closer we get to September, the gears start getting some grease.

Is it possible to tell us which region you were applying for? I have been referred for a couple different regions but have not heard anything as of yet. Just curious.

Thanx,

As I have heard from others in this forum, it's been a few weeks waiting after the interview. Sounds like a patient's game?

Patience is a virtue for sure. I would bet you will hear something by last week in September, possibly sooner. Agency tends to hire at the very end of the fiscal year.
