Looks like hiring is now open until September. No locations are listed though, anyone able to shed some light on of you get to pick or do they just assign you somewhere? Do you find out before you get a CJO or after training is completed? Thanks!

Hello, you should apply through the expedited hiring process. You will call the office you want to work at, and see if they are hiring. You’ll send your resume directly to the office you want. I wouldn’t recommend applying through USAjobs because then you can’t get direct entry.

Ok I will reach out to the office directly.
I met the officer manager about 3 years ago doing an enroute inspection on my flight, he had asked me at the time if I was interested but being new at my current company I was still trying to get settled. So I guess it’s worth a try the worst thing is he says no.

Before you get too excited, there are applicants currently waiting in a hiring pool with no end in sight. Some of them have had a tentative offer letter for over a year. It's going to be a long road to applying to starting your first day of work.

For the vacancy announcement on USA Jobs, if qualified you will be part of an applicant pool. If an office has a vacancy, HR will contact you to see if you are interested in that office. Some offices have needs now and you could get in right away, some don't and that is why people have been on the list and waiting for over a year.

Just started the GA ASI process, sent my info in, references were called. My question is what’s the training time at OKC if you get hired.

I'm curious if those people who've been waiting 1.5 years are still holding on for the job or have moved on. I know people who were waiting a year and found other work and moved on.

Thanks for the clarification, so if I reading this right, if I apply and get selected as qualified, I’ll interview and they'll ask me where I want to go? If I want to go to an office with no openings, they’ll just put me on a list and call me if there’s an opening? Wanted to include I am currently employeed and comfortable in my job so I don’t mind waiting for my desired location to open.

a year ago they had 40 firm offers out and 140 initial. I hear they are down to around 100 initial.
