My dad recently retired as well, and around the time he was finishing up he sent me a word doc with about 2 full pages of idiotic aviation quotes. I put a couple of my favorites in case they're helpful.

"The aircraft limits are only there in case there is another flight by that particular aircraft. If subsequent flights do not appear likely, there are no limits."
