Lost My Medical

Something If you like the outdoors; start a lawn service. You can start it, build it, work on it or in it. You have a long growing season in your part of the country and you can add on to your offerings which is easy.

Op,
Does UAV flying require a medical? That or sim flying I would think would be viable. But I have no experience in either so I wouldn't know where to start with those.
As a government worker myself I would think anything government related would be good since you do get veteran credit on your app. Only real downsize is some jobs have age limits and some jobs may have physical requirements(not sure what your medical loss involved). Good luck in your job search.

Guess Now I Wait
Filled out a resume at JS and one at Boeing as well, though
their website doesn't provide much info on the new simulators
in Miami. Now it's a waiting game I guess. In the meantime
I am thinking of taking a Real Estate course. Can't hurt I suppose.
Thanks again everyone for the constructive ideas

just an update
Visited Houston a few days back for a second opinion on my
condition as they have one, if not the, top cardiac center
in the nation. After a full day of testing, basically status remains
unchanged and an FAA rebuttal may or may not come depending
on CT results gleaned over the next year. In other words,
in no time soon, will I be resuming any flying duties. I had kinda
expected such, though I had hoped for a miracle. At the very least,
I was given some hope, that I might return in the future.
Until then, I have filled out resumes at JS as well as Monster looking
for non flying positions within the aviation community, but have had
no responses as yet. I know one issue that I have is the inability to move at this time, for financial reasons it is just not a viable alternative. I have acquired some small paying jobs both from Google and Amazon that puts a few dollars in the pockets, but not really anything of substantial value. If anyone reading these posts does comes across any real leads I would thank you for providing them.

Don't know if you've had any luck yet...I have four friends who've recently been hired into the training department at Flight Safety International. All were regional pilots, 2 regional FO's who never upgraded, between 4000-6000 hours, one was a regional pilot who left for a fractional and was then furloughed, and another was a regional FO and Captain who earned about 500 hours TPIC before a downgrade...good salaries (~72,000) and benefits seem ok too.
