The best is the "protecting the brand" that some have alluded too, the way to protect the brand is to provide superior service and be safe. At a restaurant today, several young women had on the infamous leggings. Its a function of the airline is being behind the times, which is not all that unusual.
It even made BBC radio last night, think UAL has let it get out of hand.

The very fact that UAL would even need to "get in front" of this issue is a sad sad testimony to how effed up our culture is. The standard to non rev attire is clear and defined. If you don't meet the standard you can change or choose not to ride. If you want to make a huge issue of it then UAL should suspend the pass travel of the employee. It's not a hidden policy and pretty cut and dry. It really is that simple. Why is this an issue??
Ohh I know why....... because some lady, who's self proclaimed job description is to literally stir the pot stuck her nose where it doesn't belong and made an issue where none exist. This is not some great feminist cause or civil rights issue. I bet that lady is a real peach if one had to ever deal with her in person.

Did I write that? I could offer my thoughts on why they might have a dress code but I won't because it would be conjecture and pointless. I'm glad the airlines have a dress code for non-revs. It's nice to see some standards in place while so many others are falling.

I did. It's a form of non revenue travel. Yes, there are additional restrictions when Jumpseat riding but the concept is the same. If you wish to take advantage of the company privilege of riding for free, you are going to dress in a conservative manner. For the JS, that's a collared shirt and slacks. Or is that too inconveniencing?

It shows how first world we are. That this issue can get so much attention.
Other parts of the world look at us and say, " you guys care what a pax is wearing, sh1t I'm lucky if I get thru the day without getting my hand cut off in this forced labor camp".
Or ref. The bathroom debate. Again other parts of the world are like, "you guys get to crap inside and have multiple bathrooms, damn I just wish we had pluming that wasn't infected with cholera".

Mommy and /or Daddy who provided the passes need a severe carpet dance. The kids need a spanking. The CSA deserves 2 weeks on the beach, PAID!The lady that tweeted it first should be permanently banned from travel on United, required to take Anger Management classes and counseling.
In Concealed Carry Class they advised us to protect ourselves but stay out of the fight.........you probably don't know the good guys from the bad guys, even what it's about

Best summary I've seen yet. Pathetically if United wouldn't have responded with the terms and conditions tweet this would have gone no where. Oh and Christy Teigen looks like a bad Thai tranny...
