Default LORs and LCCs

Hey guys, question for you. I've written some LORs for friends who are trying to get on at several airlines. I'm at United but they are using my letter on several other apps. Can it hurt them at places like Spirit or Frontier if I sign my name as a United Airlines pilot? Am I better off not listing where I work or what I fly? I know a big question these companies ask is "will you leave for a legacy in a few years" and I don't want to hurt their chances at a LCC or anywhere else. I don't want them to get passed over because the company sees that they know someone at United or wherever else and assume they will go there as soon as they can. Just curious on your thoughts if you work at a LCC. Thanks.

I can't speak to other airlines, but I think a letter from a Legacy guy would be ill-advised for a Frontier applicant. It doesn't take much connecting of the dots to assume that if you're willing to recommend them for F9, you're probably willing to help them join your Legacy as well. Explaining otherwise could would take some fancy tap dancing.

Just my $0.02.

I brought several LORs from legacy friends of mine to my Frontier interview and still got the job. I really don't think they care that much about the LOR. Your friend's answer/reaction to the "Why do you want to work at ..." question is gonna be the important part. Sucks they have to turn us into liars just to land a job.
