The F16 guys may be AAholes and therefore the person next to them may ignore them or dismiss anything they have to say because they don't like them. This is the the essence of being a good crewmember. Compatibility. Anyone can do this job. Its tolerating the dope next to you that seperates worst from the best of the best. If SE airliners existed then, absolutely, I would prefer SE pilots from F16's and C208's, respectively. I just don't prefer either of you because the job requires 2 people and neither of you are used to working with co-pilots in the same airframe. Ask any SWA pilot based in PHX, who isn't prior SE fighter.
Well said! After 32 years with AA I have seen a few that just can't get along! Really not even for 3 days. But it's true.

They don't come in with the necessary CRM skills and try to fly the plane like a fighter. Now could I take my 121 skills and think I could fly a fighter well, no but my point is I would say your more "highly trainable" than anyone else.
Having done both, I disagree. It's not a pedestal, it's fact. There's a reason the flight time is more desirable. I seriously doubt your 99% stats. In fact, I've seen lots of flow-through pilots struggle. And have heard the same from CAs and Check Airmen. What are the actual numbers?

I'm not saying this job is a cakewalk or civ-only pilots are bad, but it's not even close to leading multiple aircraft into a high threat environment while employing multiple types of weapons. And it's 100% PIC. No pilot monitoring. No magenta lines.

CRM is taught within the flight. It's not a huge leap to go from being a good wingman to being a good FO.

You forgot to mention that their poop doesn't stink, they can put a little tuck in the back of their flight cap like nobody's business, and they are in fact God's gift to aviation. Just ask them.
