Commuting to/from BOI-SFO

Can someone who commutes from Boise to SFO tell me how challenging it is to catch a ride to/from please?

I don't do that commute, but in case no one chimes in I'd think getting a jumpseat would normally not be much of a problem. When I commuted to EWR I always got at least a jumpseat as there were not many other commuters. You should also look at OAK/SJC backup options when commuting (three other flights to pick from). Even PDX/SEA to SFO is a possible backup. Not an easy commute, but not insane.

Thanks....

When I was west coast based, it wasn't uncommon to have JS'ers/commuters out of BOI. Lots of guys live there. And keep in mind, it can go back and forth between a E70 and a CRJ200 currently.

CRJ200, uggggh, kinda blows sometimes JS wise.

Skywest is opening a e175 base in Boise, that should help

I was just talking to a UA Capt who does this commute. He told me he buys a lot of tickets.

The CRJ200 JS kinda blows all of the time. ;)

Thank you for the information. I was afraid of that.

Right meow it's 3 SkyWest E175s and a CRJ 200 in both directions daily. No idea about loads but you shouldn't get bumped out of the JS by weight restrictions.

Be careful with the CR200. Not sure if they are doing it in BOI, but on my commute they are tankering fuel on no alternate days and weight (or CG) restricting the JS

Thanks for all of the input.

There are at least a couple of VX guys doing this commute.
