Beware of what you wish for:

The bill, which still must pass the full House and Senate, contains several controversial provisions, including language that would remove air traffic control from the FAA, placing it under management of a separate corporation.

Agreed. Even if the bill contains language banning NAI, but also contains language for privatized ATC and user fees, I'm a big NO!!!

Regarding NAI, I believe the bill only bans NEW flag of convenience carriers but doesn't remove NAI. Of course that portion of the bill could provide an opportunity to re-attack on NAI's original approval by the DOT.

why? Privatization is a good thing, the more we dismantle the federal administrative state the better. If we privatize ATC we can take all those workers off the government payrolls and stop giving them a pension which bloats our budget.

Another good thing is that it will give priorities to airlines in the atc system.

That's a good thing, we want that.

Yea. ATC privatization is good , and the Reagan era was the greatest evah! (from your previous posts). You might wanna do a little research. Cal strike. Ual strike. B-scale. Basically an all out war on labor facilitated by Ronnie "fire em all" Reagan. He showed corporations how to deal with labor unions! Now the last eight years...THAT is what I'm talking 'bout. RECORD labor contracts and such. Politics matter. I hope we survive the next 4.

Maybe you should do some research on the free market and you will see that the increase in wages that airlines have seen in the past few years are attributed to market forces. They are paying us more because they can and need to pay us more.

Public sector unions are both counter productive and damaging, just take a look at the situation Illinois is in. That's due to the fact that their public sector unions are entitled to massive pensions the state government can't pay. Public sector employees should be banned from joining unions. The easiest way to do that is to privatize their jobs to the lowest bidder.

Btw its gonna be 8 years, cupcake.
