No you don't want to go to Mexico City. Its even worse than you've heard!
Pollution! Altitude sickness! Poisoned water! Poisoned food! Cholera! Dysentery! Chlamydia! Murders! Banditos! Drug cartels! Kidnappers! ATC is trying to kill you! The runway is trying to kill you! Your Captain is trying to kill you! The local mechanic is trying to kill you! The volocano is trying to kill you! There will be stowaways! They will plant drugs on you! The money is worthless! They'll steal your ATM card and pin and drain your life savings! The police are more dangerous than the criminals! The traffic is more dangerous than the police! Plus all the human sacrifice!
