Latest Contract Comparison Guide vs Senority

I noticed the latest 2017 Q1 contract comparison guide (TinyUpload.com - best file hosting solution, with no limits, totaly free) seems quite different that the hourly wages posted in the resources section of this forum, especially when comparing American versus United. What is the most accurate?

I'm trying to decide which company to go to (UAL or AAL). American will provide a much faster climb up the seniority ladder based on projected retirements, but that may be offset by the better pay at United that the latest contract comparison guide shows. I've only got 20 years until mandatory retirement and a decent military retirement so seniority is important to me. Thoughts?

Do you have an interview at both? Job offers at both? At one? No point asking this unless you have a bird in hand. And why not Delta?

Seniority equals quality of life. There is no price tag on that. Plus, pay rates are just a quantifier of work rules. Also, look at bases so that you don't have to commute.

The wages are correct on the airline profile of this site for American. Can't speak for United, and couldn't open your link to check that product.

Wages will ebb and flow and be very close. Work rules are more important, but unfortunately, you probably won't understand them as a retiring mil guy. Also they will change with each contract.

Were it me I would look first at bases. This is a different job of you live in base. Much different.

Assuming that didnt pose an issue, Id look at seniority progression. Which is always a guess (will retirees be replaced, will company grow). But seniority is life.

Last, and only then would I consider contracts. They change. Sometimes drastically.

The real answer, go with whoever calls first. If you get another call later you can sit down for some deciding.
