I'm glad I saw this thread...I know which airlines to avoid. I am not going to take a job with anyone flying an airbus, that company is giong down hill and so is anyone in bed with them. I'll also never ride as a passenger on one. Call me crazy...let the flaming begin!

as far as i know, all major, domestic, and flag carriers have airbuses in their fleets.

I guess SWA wasn't considered "major" for the initial post, but they have 37 737's coming in this year (more total than Delta).
Can't say that I would base a decision to fly/not fly for any particular airline simply based on Airbus in their fleet. Airbus/EADS is in trouble, but they will survive. The collective European socialist governments would never allow them to go under (and before anyone rolls in on that comment - yes, I know the US Gov't bails out companies on occasion also).
Now, all that being said...I just got the call from SWA and I will be glad to be flying Boeing.
